Waterfall Wonders of Eastern Istria – Scenic Cycling Loop
Discover one of Istria’s hidden gems on two wheels. This enchanting cycling route starts and ends in the medieval hilltop town of Pićan, leading you through lush valleys, sleepy villages, and some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region.
Pedal your way through a landscape carved by time and water, with your first stop at the dramatic Sopot Waterfall, tucked away in a forest gorge. From there, continue towards Benkovački Waterfall, a lesser-known but equally charming cascade hidden near the village of Benkovići.
The route then takes you over rolling hills and gravel paths to Gologorički Dol, where you’ll find a peaceful waterfall nestled beneath an old mill. This is a perfect place to pause and soak in the quiet beauty of the countryside.
